Yang Xu

Visiting researcher

Dr. Yang Xu received his PhD in Agronomy from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. His research work centers on wheat stripe rust resistance, mainly focusing on the functional mechanism of plant NLR immune proteins and their interacting proteins. Meanwhile, he has long been engaged in the screening and systematic functional analysis of stripe rust pathogen effectors. With solid experience in plant immunity and wheat-pathogen interaction research, he devotes his research to uncovering the molecular regulatory mechanisms of NLR-mediated disease resistance, hoping to provide effective theoretical references for wheat disease resistance breeding.
