Dr Renjie Chen
Postdoctoral Fellow
Renjie Chen joined the Wulff Lab in 2022 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. His research seeks to elucidate the mechanism underlying wheat immunity against rust pathogens. Currently, he works on exploring the molecular mechanism underlying a newly cloned stem rust resistance gene from the wild wheat relative Aegilops sharonensis.
Renjie obtained his PhD from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China. His previous work focussed on the molecular mechanism of dynamic regulation of membrane-localized receptor proteins in plant immunity.
