Maureen Clarke
Laboratory Coordinator
Maureen joined the Wulff Lab in 2024 as Laboratory Co-ordinator. Her background is medical, with her career starting in nursing, during which she was for one year the top nursing student in Copenhagen University, Denmark. After a stint working in a hospital in Cambridge, UK, she moved to Mauritania, West Africa, working in a clinic focused on tropical medicine. This was followed by voluntary palliative care for a cancer patient in Bristol, UK.
Her management experience started with her coordinating activities in a cancer hospital in Muscat, Oman. After this she moved to KAUST, where she worked as Travel and Admin Co-ordinator for five professors within the Center for Desert Agriculture. Her current post for the Wulff Lab involves managing the group’s seed databases, plant husbandry and the import and export of biological materials.
